Fashion tips for body shapes: Pear shape

A pear shaped beauty is one who possesses
  • a wider torso or bottom
  • a smaller bust
  • a narrower shoulder
  • a well defined waistline.
A pear shaped figure should work towards highlighting her assets (her neat waistline) and balancing her top and bottom when dressing. 

TOPS
Tops should be fitted and not baggy and should end at the tops of your hips to emphasize your well defined waists. longer tops which end at your bum draw attention to your wide bum, Eye catching tops, plunging necklines draw attention away from your wide torso.


















BOTTOMS
 that covers and balances the ‘bootylicious’ body.  Find pants or jeans that are:
  • darker in color
  • boot cut/ flare shaped
  • mid-rise or high rise instead of low cut, pants should not settle above the waist line.
  • longer leg-line
  • stretchable fabric/ thicker fabric
  • fabric that is not shiny (e.g. satin)
  • no sequins/ heavy details for the bottoms/loud prints
  • soft fabric but not flimsy (avoid showing the lumps and bumps)

 




 
































GOWNS

Avoid anything stretchy that will cling to your hips or tiers that will add extra volume! Also avoid plus size dresses that are lighter or more patterned on the bottom half, as they will make you appear wider.
































JEWELRIES AND SHOES
Pear shaped beauties should go for chunky jewelries to draw the eye upwards...The essence is not to hide the large torso but to balance out the silhouette achieving a more hourglass figure. Heels helps you feel and look confident, so go get them out girl...
